Nestled on the 54th floor of the Jesselton Twin Towers in Kota Kinabalu, Olympus Italian Restaurant and Skybar is a breathtaking destination that combines authentic Italian flavors with one of the most spectacular sunset views in Sabah. This elevated dining experience invites guests to savor iconic Italian cuisine while indulging in panoramic vistas that stretch across the cityscape and beyond, making every meal feel truly extraordinary.
The culinary offerings here are crafted with passion and precision, highlighting classic Italian dishes elevated by fresh, quality ingredients. From the delightfully crispy Bruschetta topped with savory Italian pork sausage to the succulent Prime Rib Steak cooked medium perfection, each bite is a harmonious blend of textures and rich flavors. The kitchen’s rendition of Osso Buco and Carbonara delights the palate with tender, slow-cooked depth and creamy, comforting notes, proving why many regard Olympus as a hidden gem in the city.
Dessert lovers will find bliss in the restaurant’s tiramisu, which transcends expectations with its luscious creaminess perfectly balanced by a dusting of cocoa powder—far from the ordinary versions often found around town. The pizzas, too, stand out as must-tries, crafted with skill to deliver an unforgettable taste experience that pays homage to traditional Italian recipes while embracing local twists.
The atmosphere at Olympus Italian Restaurant and Skybar is a seamless blend of elegance and casual vibrancy, cultivated by a warm, attentive staff led by an Italian manager whose personal touch elevates the hospitality experience. It is a place where every detail—from the ambiance to the presentation—invites guests to relax, savor, and create memorable moments against the backdrop of one of Borneo’s tallest dining venues.

The sunset view from Olympus Italian Restaurant Skybar at level 54 in Jesselton Twin Towers was amazingly beautiful. Great dining experience with wonderful, friendly and even personal service from restaurant own Italian manager beside the staff. Bruschetta Italian Pork Sausage - The Crispy bruschetta with the sausage meat was excellent. Prime Rib Steak was cooked to a medium done perfection with the lovely grilled potatoes cubes & salad that went well with my bot of Bosii Boschi Dei Signori. The Focaccia was soft on the inside yet chewy on the outside, was great with my Red. Love it. Will recommend this restaurant and definitely come back to enjoy the rest of the menus. *One suggestion is smaller tables for 2-4 should be made available. (Alex & Pauline Lok)

Perfect 10. I have been to shibuya sky, tokyo at 47th floor last year but nothing compared to our majestic view & sun set view from this tallest restaurant in borneo island at 54th floor. Bravo..keep up the excellent job!

The food here really brings my taste buds joy and comfort! I ordered their tiramisu and expected it to be just like any other tiramisu you can find in KK but I was wrong. The unexpected creaminess compliments the cocoa powder so well! I definitely recommend it. Their pizza is also a must try. It's not just any average pizza you can find.

Olympus on level 53a in Jesselton Twin Tower offers a unique Italian dining experience with a fun, casual vibe. The pork tomahawk—a standout dish rarely seen in KK—features a crunchy exterior with a juicy, tender interior. The fatty parts practically melt in your mouth, complemented by a mix of orange, apple, potato, and vegetables that makes for a filling meal (though my wife finished half her serving!). The pasta carbonara is cooked in an authentic Italian style with an egg-based sauce (no cream), lending it a distinct flavor. It appears to use a generous amount of yolk, though a bit more cheese might have enhanced the dish even further. What sets Olympus apart is not just the food but the atmosphere. The view from up high is phenomenal, and the outdoor area is refreshing—especially on cool, rainy nights. Inside, the space is lively with three projectors showcasing Italian highlights, great music, and solid air conditioning. The entrance experience is a bit of an adventure, involving a security check, signing a log book, and a brief escort for first-time guests. While this process can feel a little cumbersome, it adds a layer of security and exclusivity to your visit.
